Erica Ward, a resident of Dunedin, currently serves as the Head of Drama and Dance at Trinity Catholic College. Her role allows her to channel her passion for the performing arts into nurturing creativity and expression among her students, helping them develop their talents to their fullest potential. Erica finds teaching to be an immensely rewarding career, enabling her to make a significant impact on students' lives and support their growth both academically and personally.
Throughout her tenure at Trinity Catholic College, Erica has directed numerous school musicals, including Grease, Annie, Seussical, and The Addams Family. She also writes and directs the school's annual Christmas pantomime, adding a touch of festive magic each year. Her other extracurricular teams have achieved success at the national level in both Hip Hop and Sheilah Winn Shakespeare.
These experiences have enriched both Erica's life and the lives of her students, making each performance and competition a cherished milestone. She is excited about the opportunity to bring her passion and skills to Theatre New Zealand and contribute to the continued success of the organisation.

Congratulations to Kim Morgan and her talented cast of The Comedy of Errors for a fantastic production as part of Dunedin Summer Shakespeare! It was an absolute delight to sit in the park and experience the magic of live theatre in such a beautiful setting. The energy, humour, and commitment from the cast brought Shakespeare’s classic comedy to life, making for an unforgettable evening of entertainment. A huge well done to everyone involved in bringing this wonderful production to the Dunedin community!
